1. When will I receive my emissions sticker?

After placing your order, your sticker will be sent out from a German post office within one working day. Delivery times vary per country. Below is a list of indicative delivery times by Deutsche Post, the German postal service.

Although we send your order within one working day, we do depend on the postal services. We have no influence on the day of delivery by the postal service in your country. In some cases it may take longer than usual. Also please be aware of national holidays in Germany that may not exist in your country, such as German Unity Day on October 3rd. Emissions stickers will not be sent out on national holidays.

2. Is my car eligible for a German emissions sticker?

Most cars with an electric engine, with a petrol engine from 1993 or newer and with a diesel engine from 2006 or newer, are eligible for the green emissions sticker. For a more detailed explanation, please see this information on the main page of this website.

3. What happens when my car is not eligible?

If your vehicle is not eligible for a green emissions sticker, your application will be denied and your money will be refunded. Please confirm that your vehicle is eligible for a green emissions sticker before you place your order.

4. I did not receive the confirmation e-mail

After completing your order, a confirmation e-mail with the details of your order will be sent to your e-mail address. If you did not receive this e-mail, then it was probably unintentionally marked as spam. Please check your spam folder.

5. Can you send the emissions sticker by e-mail?

No, the emissions sticker is a physical product and cannot be sent by e-mail. Please be aware that to avoid a fine, the emissions sticker itself must be affixed to your windscreen. A copy of the confirmation mail of your order is not valid.

6. Will my license plate number be printed or handwritten?

Your license plate number will be printed on your sticker with a sticker printer, just like on the example photos below. We do however, reserve the right to issue a handwritten sticker in case of technical issues with the sticker printer.

7. How do I affix the sticker to my windscreen?

Affixing the sticker to your windscreen is fairly straightforward. Follow the steps below and within a few minutes you are ready for your trip to Germany. Make sure you clean your windscreen before affixing the sticker.

First remove the white part around the sticker. This part does not need to be affixed to your windscreen. Sometimes you may receive an emissions sticker where the white part has been removed already. In that case skip this step.

Affix sticker 2

Next remove the transparent foil. Be careful not to touch the green side of the sticker, otherwise the sticker might not stick well. It is best to remove the foil in your car just before you affix the sticker.

Affix the sticker with the green side against your windscreen. The recommended place is on the right side of the windscreen as seen from the position of the driver. The sticker and your license plate number printed on it must be clearly visible from outside the vehicle.

8. Who receives my payment?

Payment of your order is handled by Mollie, a Dutch company that specializes in Internet payments. STG MOLLIE PAYMENTS will appear on your bank or credit card statement.

9. Which payment options can I choose from?

Available payment options are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Cartes Bancaires, NEXI, Apple Pay, SEPA Bank Transfer, Przelewy24, Bancontact, KBC/CBC, Belfius Direct Net and iDEAL.

Please note that if you pay through SOFORT Banking or SEPA Bank Transfer, it usually takes three days before we receive the money. Your confirmation e-mail will be send after the money has been received. After that, the emissions sticker will be shipped within one working day.

10. My payment failed

Sometimes your payment will fail. This usually happens when you exceed the maximum time for your payment method or when there are insufficient funds in your bank account or on your credit card. You will not be credited and your sticker will not be sent. To still receive your emissions sticker, please place a new order. If you have a question about a failed payment, simply send a message through the contact form.

11. Can I cancel my order?

No, an order cannot be canceled. This is because the emissions sticker is a custom-made product. Once issued for your license plate number, an emissions sticker cannot be used again for another customer. The 14 day cooling off period for online purchases within the EU does not apply. You can read more on this page of the website of the European Union. If necessary, choose your local language at the top of the page.

12. What is my vehicle registration certificate?

A copy of your vehicle registration certificate is necessary to apply for an emissions sticker. This can be a scanned image or a photo made with your smart phone. Below you can see examples of certificates from different European countries. Some countries may have older or newer certificates that look differently. Your license plate number (A), date of first registration (B), vehicle identification number (E), vehicle category (J), type of fuel (P) and emission standard (V) must be clearly visible.

For Austrian cars, both sides of the Zulassungsbescheinigung are necessary.
In Belgium the vehicle registration certificate is called kentekenbewijs or certificat d'immatriculation. Copies of both sides are needed.
Is your car registered in Bulgaria? Then please include a copy of the document called свидетелство за регистрация.
The Croatian certificate is called prometna dozvola. Both sides are needed.
In Cyprus the certificate is called Πιστοποιητικó Εγγραφής Μηχανοκίνητου Οχήματος.
If you are from the Czech Republic, look for your osvědčení o registraci vozidla and send a copy of the side with the technical details of your car.
In Denmark a document called registreringsattest is used. Only part I with the technical details of your car is necessary.
In Estonia the certificate is known as sõiduki registreerimistunnistus. Include the side that contains the technical details of your vehicle.
The Finnish registration certificate is called rekisteröintitodistus. A copy of the side with the technical details of your vehicle is necessary.
In France the certificate is called certificat d'immatriculation. The side with the technical details of your car is needed.
In Germany, the vehicle registration certificate is called Zulassungsbescheinigung.
In Greece the certificate is a green, foldable document called άδεια κυκλοφορίας. The side that contains the technical details of your car is needed.
A vehicle registration certificate in Hungary is a green document called forgalmi engedély. The side with all the letters is needed to apply.
In Ireland a vehicle registration certificate if simply called registration certificate or teastas cláraithe. Please make sure to send us the side with your license plate number and the technical details of your vehicle.
In Italy the certificate is called carta di circolazione. Parts 1 and 2 are necessary to apply for the German emissions sticker.
In Latvia your vehicle registration certificate is called reģistrācijas apliecība. Include a copy of the side with the technical details of your vehicle.
In Lithuania look for a green document called registracijos liudijimas.
In Luxembourg, look for your Zulassungsbescheinigung or certificat d'immatriculation. Make sure you send a copy of the side that has the technical details of your vehicle.
In Luxembourg, look for your ċertifikat ta' reġistrazzjoni. Make sure you send a copy of the side that has the technical details of your vehicle.
The Dutch vehicle registration certificate is called kentekenbewijs. If you can read Dutch, we recommend you to order the emissions sticker on our Dutch language website.
In Norway your vehicle registration certificate is called Norge Vognkort del 1. Please include all sides that contain technical details of your vehicle.
In Poland your vehicle registration certificate is called dowód rejestracyjny. Please include all sides that contain technical details of your vehicle.
In Portugal your vehicle registration certificate is called Certificado de Mátricula. Please send us the side that contains your license plate number and the technical details of your car.
If your vehicle is registered in Romania, please include a copy of your certificat de înmatriculare. Only the side with the technical details of your vehicle is required (bottom part of the photo above).
The Slovakian vehicle registration certificate is called osvedčenia o evidencii and comes in the form of a credit card. Copies of both sides are needed.
In Slovenia, please look for your prometno dovoljenje, which is a green and gray document rather than the white specimen above. Include both sides.
In Spain the vehicle registration certificate is called permiso de circulación. As with most European registration certificates, both sides are needed.
In Sweden the certificate is called registreringsbevis. The side with the technical information of your vehicle is needed.
In Switzerland this certificate is called Fahrzeugausweis, Permis de circulation, Licenza di circolazione or Certificat da vehichel. The side with the technical information of your vehicle is needed.
In the Ukraine this certificate is called свідоцтво про реєстрацію. Both sides of the card are needed.
Is your car registered in the UK, then please send the page with the technical details of your vehicle. The vehicle registration certificate is sometimes called V5C, V5 document or log book.

13. What happens to my data?

If you place on order or use the contact form, some data is stored in order to be able to issue and deliver your sticker, and to comply with German law. You can read a more detailed explanation in our privacy policy.
