map: Umweltzone in Herrenberg

The low-emission zone of Herrenberg is one of the smallest in Germany. As you can see on the map above, where the low-emission zone is shown with orange, it covers the entire town apart from two small business parks in between Herrenberg and Affstätt a bit to the north.

Exceptions

An emissions sticker is also required if you only pass through Herrenberg on for example the B14 or the B28. Keep this in mind if you want to drive from Nagold west of Herrenberg to the A8 that lies to the east, or the other way around. In that case your best option is to follow the Daimlerstraße and the Zeppelinstraße. These two streets form the border of the low-emission zone, but are not part of it. If you approach Herrenberg from the south on the B296, driving around the low-emission zone is not possible.

Parking outside the low-emission zone

If you do not have an emissions sticker but still want to visit Herrenberg, you could park at Toom Baumarkt (A on the map) on the Daimlerstraße. It lies just outside the low-emission zone. From here you need to walk 600 meters to reach the historical center of Herrenberg, which makes it an easy way to avoid the €100 fine for not having an emission sticker.
