Schramberg is not very large and neither is its low-emission zone. Only the valley itself, from where exhaust gases cannot easily escape, falls within the zone. In the rest of the municipality you do not need an emissions sticker. Be aware though that the B462, the road which connects Rottweil to the Black Forest, does lie inside the low-emission zone of Schramberg. If you want to avoid the need to buy an emissions sticker, you could choose to take the B33 a bit to the south.

Parking outside the low-emission zone

If you want to visit Schramberg but do not have an emissions sticker, for example when your vehicle is not eligible for one, you can still park outside the low-emission zone. A good place to park is Sulgen (A on the map), from where regular bus services bring you to the center of Schramberg. Walking is another option, for which you can follow the Alte Steige through the forest.

Schramberg is a small tourist destination with a lot to see and do. There are three castles, of which Burg Hohenschramberg is well preserved. The ruins of Schilteck and Falkenstein are also worth visiting however. The Dieselmuseum, the Automuseum and the Eisenbahnmuseum Schwarzwald about the railways in the Black Forest, all are good for rainy days.
