map: Umweltzone in Karlsruhe

The low-emission zone of Karlsruhe is shown with orange on the map above. Within this zone, the emissions sticker is required for motorized vehicles. The roads that form the border of the low-emission zone, such as the Adenauerring, the Moltkestraße and the B65 south of the center, are all not part of the low-emission zone. Also Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof, the main train station of the city, can be reached without an emissions sticker.

The low-emission zone of Karlsruhe does not have any exceptions, such as roads which you can use to pass through the zone that exist in several other low-emission zones in Germany. Because the zone is limited to the city center and because the start of the zone is clearly indicated, you do not need to be afraid to accidentally drive into a part of the city where an emissions sticker is needed.

Parking outside the low-emission zone

If you do not have an emissions sticker or if your vehicle is not eligible, then there are plenty of opportunities to park outside the low-emission zone of Karlsruhe. Most convenient is to park close to a line of the Stadtbahn, the tram network of Karlsruhe. Below we have listed several stops of the Stadtbahn with a parking garage in the vicinity.

  1. Hauptfriedhof on lines S2, 4 and 5.
  2. Tullastraße on lines S4, S4, 1, 2 and 6.
  3. Albtalbahnhof on lines S1-S11, S4, S41 and 2.
  4. Starckstraße on line S5.
