Map of the low-emission zone in Ilsfeld
As you can see on the map above, the entire residential area of Ilsfeld is part of the low-emission zone. Companies and stores, located in between the village and the A81 highway, are not part of the low-emission zone and can be reached even if you do not have an emissions sticker.
Exceptions
Unlike in many larger cities with a low-emission zone, there are no roads in Ilsfeld that you can follow to pass by the parts of the town where an emissions sticker is compulsory. This means that if, for example, you want to reach Lauffen am Neckar from the A81 by taking the L1105, an emissions sticker is required.
Parking outside the low-emission zone
If you need to be in Ilsfeld itself, parking outside the low-emission zone is easy enough. Your best option would be to park at the Kaufland supermarket (A on the map) and then continue your way on foot. You will be able to reach the center of Ilsfeld in under five minutes.
Which emissions sticker do you need in Ilsfeld?
As in almost all other low-emission zones in Germany, it is the green emissions sticker that is required in Ilsfeld. Without a sticker or with one of the older red or yellow stickers for your vehicle, you risk a fine of €100.
Where to buy the emissions sticker?
The German emissions sticker can be bought at vehicle companies licensed to perform exhaust emissions tests. Examples are TÜV, A.T.U and DEKRA. Take your vehicle registration certificate with you and ask for an Umweltplakette, which is the common German name for the emissions sticker. Please be aware of the restricted opening times during the weekends. The German emissions sticker cannot be bought at gas stations along the highway.
To save yourself some trouble, you can also order the sticker online through our website. A copy of your vehicle registration certificate is once again needed, which you can upload during your application. After that, your sticker will be sent to your home address. Ilsfeld is nothing more than a large town just south of Heilbronn in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. While it is not a tourist destination, the Jugendstil Bartholomäuskirche is a church that is worth visiting if you happen to be in Ilsfeld. There are also a few characteristic half-timbered houses, while just outside the town you can visit the ruins of castle Helfenberg.
